Graduation Exam Success!
A+ Academic Services is one of the best academic programs around. My child was having problems with passing the history portion of the graduation exam. She had taken the history portion three times and was feeling defeated. A friend recommended that we take her to A+ Academic Services. They (the friend) stated that they ( A+ Academic Services) were good at getting positive results. After looking into their success rates, we then made the decision to give them a try. Mrs. Sonja Goldsmith, Education Director, was polite, encouraging, motivating, yet firm while working with my daughter. She had her write history facts on note cards and drilled her daily to ensure that she was retaining what she was taught. My daughter went to retake the history portion of the graduation exam for the fourth and final time. She went to take the exam with more confidence than ever before and stated that she felt prepared after working with Mrs. Goldsmith. After taking the exam, she stated that she knew all of the material and could actually remember writing questions and answers on the note cards while studying with Mrs. Goldsmith. She was proud of herself. Once the scores came in for the exam, we were ecstatic and couldn't wait to share the good news with her family and A+ Academic Services. They are an awesome team of educators who strive to teach and help others accomplish their educational goals. Thank you so much A+ Academic Services!

Cheerleader Receives Academic Award!
I just wanted to take time to tell you THANKS so much for helping me better my learning skills. Thanks to all of our hours put in, I have now raised my MATH grade from a low "C" to a high "A"!!!
Not only have I raised my grades in math/algebra, but I have also maintained good grades in ALL my other classes as well. This year I was honored to receive the "Academic Award" out of ALL the varsity cheerleaders at Dale County High School! This was the FIRST time I have EVER received such an award, and I was very shocked when they called out my name in the school assembly. I don't think that this could have EVER been possible without the classes I took with you all. Thanks to all those wonderful teachers you have there! Y'all are the BEST! :-)

Senior & 2007 Homecoming Queen Passes Her Exit Exam...
Brina's firm dedication and 100% commitment to studying paid off! She passed the Alabama High School Exit Exam! Thank you kindly. Debra/Mom
DIRECTOR'S NOTE: Brina is an EXCELLENT student in high school, and always makes A's and B's. However, like so many kids, the Alabama High School Exit Exam gave her "fits". Luckily, she had the wisdom to turn to A+ Academic to give her the needed "edge" to pass the ENGLISH portion of the test.
Why does the ENGLISH subsection/test cause so many problems? Well, it's mainly because kids are traditionally taught in school how to BUILD "good" and "correct" sentences, NOT how to find and edit INCORRECT ones! In other words, so much of their class time is spent on such things as "pick out the adjective/adverb/prepositional phrases in the following sentences".....but not on finding "problems" and correcting them. Lately, however, classroom instruction has been more responsive to this need, and is improving substantially....Brina-good luck in college, girl! You'll be a winner for sure!

DIBELS TEST???
Leslie Has Finally Caught Up To Her Grade Level "Benchmark"!
Leslie Lamb, my daughter, has been attending the A+ Center for a little over a year now, going to her classes twice a week for an hour each day. She was VERY weak in reading when we began this program. She started while she was in the 4th Grade, and is currently in the 5th Grade at Headland Intermediate School.
She has improved SO MUCH in the last year with her reading skills! Leslie has NEVER "benchmarked" with the DIBELS TEST at school---not even close! Well, the other day Leslie's teacher spoke to me while I was at the school and said she had to tell me something. She stated that she, along with Leslie's other teachers and the Principal had been in a meeting to discuss several "at-risk" students....Leslie was mentioned regarding how she was such a hard working student & how she was SO CLOSE to the required benchmark number for "words per minute", which is 115 WPM for her age/grade level. To offer some perspective, Leslie was only about 66 WPM when she entered the 4th Grade...and is NOW over 100 WPM!!!
In addition to her gains in overall reading speed, her comprehension is so much BETTER, as well as her understanding of vocabulary words!
Our family feels confidently that-between A+ and all their good teachers-that this experience has truly made a GREAT IMPACT on Leslie's life. Her goal now in Ms. Lee's class at school is to benchmark the DIBELS TEST for the FIRST TIME EVER! Oh, by the way, she also made the A & B Honor Roll for the FIRST TIME in all of her school years!
We are so proud of Leslie & her hard work, along with the determination of your dedicated teachers at A+ in Dothan...Enrolling her into your program was a GREAT decision...Thanks So Much!
